Ashley St Clair, a right-wing commentator, stirred controversy by sharing a video claiming that her recent Delta Airlines flight from Phoenix to New York City was filled with migrants released from an immigration detention center at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport. In the video, she expressed concern about taxpayer dollars potentially funding such transportation. St Clair also questioned whether the passengers, including one seated in a premium cabin next to her, had undergone medical screening.

"My Delta flight from Phoenix appears to be flying migrants who crossed the border and are being shipped to New York. When I asked a Delta representative if this was the case, his response was 'What does it matter, they’re humans too,'" she wrote.

The video, shared on Monday evening, quickly went viral, amassing over 7 million views.

Rep. Lauren Boebert reacted to the video, writing, "This is how they turn every state into a border state. And our tax dollars are the funding for this disaster. Completely abhorrent."

In subsequent posts, Ashley St Clair, 24, questioned the airlines' role in transporting migrants from border states to cities like New York and raised concerns about taxpayer-funded participation.

"Why is Delta complicit in shipping illegal migrants from border states like Arizona to New York City? Our own mayor (a Democrat) has begged Biden to stop sending the migrants here because we are overwhelmed Is Delta being directed to transport these migrants or are they willingly shipping illegal migrants to cities they know are crumbling for a paycheck from taxpayers?" she asked.

Elon Musk joined the conversation, writing, "Good question."

Who is Ashley St Clair?

Ashley St Clair, a contributor to the conservative satire site the Babylon Bee, gained attention for her book 'Elephants Are Not Birds,' released in 2021.

According to the publisher Brave Books, the book "tackles the topic of gender identity."

Speaking to the New York Post at the time, Ashley St Clair said the book is "unapologetic rebuke of transgender acceptance."

“You get special attention now in the classroom if you say, ‘Hey my name is not Billy, it’s Amanda,'” she told The Post. “I am going to have a little boy in November, and it’s scary to think he could come home and say, ‘My friends all identify as something else and that’s how I feel’ and have my son crying because he’s not put on hormone replacement therapy.”
